Hello Art,

I don't post often, .......but look/read...often. How is your daughter, (the
one injured at work) doing? I'm batting 100% today....received cards and
gifts from son and daughter. I think a lot a people go to facebook now, but
I perfer not to....also I see bam bam, JAG and others from this site over at the....NewOrleans.com Food Forums. I hope the others check in once in
awhile.

Well Monday came and all is now right regarding the three daughters. Mom is now batting 1.000 when the other two cards arrived today. Additionally, all caught up with mom telephonicly.

Mom wanted to go to (Reno) Mimi's at 8:30 am to beat the crowd. When we arrived at that time the place was full, with 20-30 people waiting. We did hook a table after about 25 minutes and had a lovely breakfast - Mixed Berry Pain Perdu for her, and a Mardi Gras Omelette for me.

Missed out on Plan A - trip to (Lake) Tahoe City for the day. Too damn cold.
Missed out on Plan B - trip to the Cowboy Music & Poetry Festival, in Genoa. Too damn cold.
Settled for Plan C - the Reno River Festival, on a "flood-stage" Truckee River, 6-8 feet above normal, in downtown Reno. Kayak salom racing, music and food booths. Too damn cold.
Finished with dinner at our stamping ground of 20 years - the Atlantis Casino Hotel Spa. The Mother's Day Brunch crowds having departed by about 4:00 pm.

Today, intermittant snow, sleet and hail all day long. Damn global warming.
