Nanette, they are soooo much better than they sound. I made the tomato version yesterday. Use more grapefruit than lime if you're going straight citrus--smoother. I really need to get some better glasses though. Remember those big roundish beer mugs on a stem? Those would be great, anything big and...

Yes, that lady is like fingernails on a blackboard. In her league I also put Margaret whatsername the weather lady and Bobby Hebert. Oh, and Diane Rheims (sp?) on NPR. Margaret "Run For The Hills" Orr........... I like her, Barbara. Honestly...I think she saved alot of lives during Katrin...

Many moons ago, Slidell had a joint called "Carafe and Draft". They had tables with comfortable swivel chairs. Good food. Fun times. First run movies. We went there fairly often.

I listen to more radio than TV and find their commercial volumes to be even higher than that of TV commercials, especially car ads. But more annoying to me is one particular local voice-over lady that has the worst vocal quality of anyone I've heard. Best way I could describe it is as a creaky fals...

We've got DISH Network... not too bad. But neighbor has DIRECT TV....Jesus Christ! The commercials will blow you out of the room. Horrible.
