ie. exactly what I'm looking for. Brett provides information and opinion - perhaps you should turn to tella novellas or saints games if I need the subject mater to ooze passion ;)

Re: "Catch" to open on Magazine

While I agree with her beef about restauranteurs' preoccupation with "concepts" over quality and execution, I see Lorin hasn't lost any of that cattiness that I've found so unpleasant. There seems to be a fundamental mean-spiritedness that runs through so much of her writings. This consta...

Re: Mondo

I haven't been yet. But one of the other restaurants mentioned, Meson 923, is fantastic. Don't wait 6 months on that one. The servers are still a bit sophomoric but the rest of the staff makes up for it. And the food is outstanding. Beautifully plated and tastes even better. IMO. and I generally fi...

Re: Need your insights

La Boca's steaks are wonderful, but the noise level isn't right for your occasion. Ruth's and Morton's are chains you can probably find in your local high end mall Mr. John's and Delmonico are terrific choices - I would add Dickie Brennan's to that list. The steaks may not be quite as good (still, t...

Re: strange night at A Mano

Now if I could only convince them to offer hot tea ...

If it's mediocrity you seek, no need to travel all the way to PA - BR cuisine is equally uninspired!

Re: Pizza Delicious

OK PAZ, I know you wrote the mushrooms were to die for but I'm a bit confused by the creamy descriptor. Sounds soupy to me, although I do love mushrooms. (Would rather it with Italian sausage instead of bacon but...) Here's the June 13 menu: http://pizzadelicious.blogspot.com/2010/06/menu-for-sunda...
