Re: Last Minute Recs for Bay St. Louis, Gulfport Area

Thanks for the recs. I was looking at Trapani's but got a little scared away by the reviews on tripadvisor. I'm taking my parents, who live in Diamonhead, to dinner. I'm doing to do a little more research but Sycamore House sounds pretty cool, considering that my mother is an artist who quit paintin...

Re: Teaching kids to beg

I must admit. I am surprised. So far I agree with all the responses. But it seems that we don't represent the general public. Or the general public doesn't understand that they are "pimping out their kids." I'm tempted to make a sign similar to the ones you frequently see in Fisherman's Wa...

Re: Houston Recs

On my last trip there I ate at Shade: http://www.shadeheights.com/index.html It's been nearly a year so I don't remember the details other than I really enjoyed the meal. However, the dining room is very "cozy"....meaning you will meet your dining neighbors. We were lucky that the couple n...

Dorignac's 3 for $10 wine

There seems to be a bunch of different unrecognizable wines being offered for this deal. Has anyone tried any? Are there some Easter eggs hidden there?

Teaching kids to beg

Again today, I encountered what I despise. In front of Dorignac's (could be Breaux Mart, Winn Dixie, or any of several other merchants) were a group of young girls begging for money to help them go somewhere and play softball. This practice is not limited to softball teams. I've see it with Brownie ...

Am I to assume that you won't be at Chad's next Wednesday for his Eat Club?

Re: Mardi Gras or Carnival

Ask yourself one question:

What kind of parade do you go see in New Orleans?

The answer: A Mardi Gras Parade....

Re: Gershwin Prize event at White House: A really big night for Sir Paul McCartney

Facts:

Paul doesn't hold any college degree.
W graduated from Yale
W is the first POTUS to hold an MBA
Laura was a librarian.
Paul needs to go get in bed with Carlos Santana, another ungrateful pos who made his money here and trashes our country.

Re: Late lunch on Sunday, need recs

How about the Rib Room for the Champagne Brunch? They also have a PrixFixe 3 course brunch for $33/person that looks pretty good.

Don't know what time Brunch ends but you may be able to make it.
