Re: I am having a great of difficulty determining
Baseball is the sweet summer long romance right before you head off to school. College football is the hot sweatty chick you have a one night stand with after hooking up at Pure. Each of course has their place. Reasonable analogy. Baseball is perfect (at least in the National League where there is ...

"Gourmet" Chinese Food
I was in Atlanta this past week for a couple of Braves games and some business. Went with a group to a Marietta restaurant named House of Chan. It was unbelieveably good chinese. They are a first class place (although small), serving a wide variety. I had the Mandrian beef and the lemon chicken. Thi...

Ports and sweet wines are the most resistant to heat damage. I imagine the the residual sugar aided in preventing the wine from maderizing. Any re...

Todd, in your opinion, when is it "too hot (degrees) and too long" for wine to be considered unsalvageable?

SOB - American League Again
The All-Star Game party at Chateau Boo Boo went to early morning only to see the %$#* American League pull out another win (12 in a row). Adding to the misery is the stupid rule MLB put in that the game winner gets home field advantage in the playoffs.
Oh well, the party was great.

What? No discussion of the German U-Boats in the gulf fiasco.
I think he still regrets the day he began that debate.

Re: While I agree that posting the address to this forum on the forum
that those two idiots paid a gazillion dollars to screw up is bad nettiquette, is there another way to get the word out? I know of at least five people who read the old forum regularly but don't post. And I don't mean, they posted once. I mean they don't even have handles on that site. I have been ...

Re: La Provence
Took a couple of people there last Thursday after I heard Chef Rene was leaving. We had an assortment, but one had the pre fixe that was the crawfish bisque, salmon and peach cake. They said it was exceptional. I had the gnocci, softshell crab and creme brulee. Outstanding as usual. Other member had...
