Fresh Mint?
I am asking for help in locating fresh mint, on the north shore would be very helpful but will pick up from south shore also. I have been asked to serve mint juleps at a charity function on Sunday the 14th - the bourbon and simple syrup is no problem as it is being donated, but I do not have a herb ...

Re: Disinfecting/Sanitizing our Home
I know you said you have already found a lead, but there are companies out there that clean up at crime scenes. Maybe a detective with the local police or an insurance company could give you a lead. Thankfully I have never had the need for this service.

Group Lunch Location for a Saturday?
I belong to a car club on the Northshore and we are invited to view a private car collection/museum in Metairie. This will most likely take place on a Saturday. Don't have an exact head count, but I'm thinking 10 - 12 vehicles, 20 to 25 people total. I need suggestions of somewhere to dine for a lat...

Re: Obama King Cake
I think Jean Luc has surely offended me with this racial statement, as that I will never, never, never set foot in any of his bakeries again. Did I say never? Damn right I did! I don't recall a Ronald Regan king cake, with white frosting and chocolate center.

Freezing milk based soup?
Getting ready to make a pot of Crab and Corn Bisque using heavy cream and milk. There will be only 2 of us, can I freeze the left overs? Don't want to waste the crab meat.

I need a new chair -
I need to replace the recliner chair in my family room. The sofa is navy blue leather, the floor is wood, the rug is a maroon center with a navy/gold border, the walls are a Benjamin Moore - Beach Plum. Is is just me or does furniture only come in brown/tan? I can't find another blue leather recline...

Microwave Pralines
KCD your recipe looks easy enough, but this is the one my Grandmother used. (I guess she was a very hip grandmother, none of that stove top cooking for her) 4 qt. glass microwave dish 1 c. whipping cream 1 lb. light brown sugar 2 c. pecan halves 2 tbsp. butter, room temperature Mix brown sugar and c...
