Re: Granola
I stored it in the pantry in an airtight container, but I didn't have fresh fruit in it. I used dried cherries in the cookbook version, and various other dried fruits in test versions. Do you know they sell dried blueberries? If I were using fresh fruit, I think I'd just add it to the bowl.

Re: Granola
I tested the granola recipe for Moore Groceries and made it several different times with different ingredients. The original recipe gave many variations, but my co-author wanted one definitive version, so I used the one I liked best.

Re: Camellia Grill.............
A friend and I happened to be walking down the street discussing having something to eat, when I noticed Camellia Grill across the street. Little did I know it was opening day. Got seats right in the part if the U closest to the grills, and enjoyed watching the grill cooks work. Truthfully, I haven'...

Re: Pan Handling Rates Going Up?
I hate the ones who stand at a red light and STARE at you if you dismiss them and refuse to open your window. You're trapped at the light. The guy yesterday on Calliope below the expressway near 1179 was holding a sign: "God's will do it". Huh?

Ordered a dozen raw recently at Luke, and were served exactly 12, some of which were normal sized, some no bigger than a quarter, and none what I would call large. I commented on the fact that they should've put a couple extras on the platter.

I've been wanting to go there, but if you're not already in the "neighborhood" for another reason, the parking can be discouraging.

Re: Brett's Plans?
Did you really expect this self-absorbed, ego-maniacal drama queen to sit out the season? He'll meet the same fate in just over 3 weeks that he met this past January. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=POlboWtgMI4&feature=player_embedded# ! I can watch that over and over! Thanks for reminding me.
