Re: Coconut M&M's

Not enough coconut in the M&Ms. I guess I'll stick to Mounds or Almond Joys!

Re: my salad shooter died

Check out Amazon, won't be as cheap as eBay but they do have people writing reviews that I have found to be very helpful.

Re: Shrimp Fest

I didn't refer to the fest by the correct name. It is the Louisiana Seafood Fest. I have been given 2 different weekend dates. The first dates I received from Sharon Keating stating it's June 5,6&7th. The next person gave the dates of June 12,13&14th. I guess I'll have to wait until the webs...

Shrimp Fest

Last year we were in New Orleans in mid-June. We were delighted in finding the Shrimp Fest on the grounds of the US Mint that also coincided with the Grand Re-Opening of the French Market. We had a wonderful time sampling all the shrimp dishes despite the on and off thunderstorms! I have search New ...

Re: Can Openers

I love the handheld one I have now as the "crank" is very large molded plastic job that turns so easily and doesn't hurt your hand like the really cheapo ones do. I am sure it was inexpensive, but it works great. I just went on Amazon and purchased the Ozo (sp?) handheld the reviews were ...

Can Openers

Sorry to bring up such a mundane topic but I can't find a decent can opener. I have gone from cheap to expensive and haven't found one that does a consistantly good job of opening cans. Any suggestions?

Re: What's for dinner?

I'm doing grilled chicken, asparagus and some sort of rice. What's everyone else doing for dinner? I fixed that last night for dinner. The rice was Uncle Ben's Olive Oil and Garlic Rice mix. Usually don't buy the boxed stuff but it was pretty decent. Tonight I'm pouting, I thought we were going out...

Re: Cooking show hosts' idiosyncracies

I could watch back to back reruns of Julia's cooking shows as opposed the amateurs they have on now. I suppose it's much cheaper to pay the amateurs that lack talent and cooking skills. But what is the drawing card to watch them???? Food Network just doesn't get it............
