Re: Hong Kong Market-seafood

This is the place on the Westbank basically next to Panda King Buffet (sorry to use that as a landmark)? I had no idea the seafood selection was so awesome.

Re: Katie Bar The Door?

Everybody's good, Isabella. Thanks for asking. We'll probably give it another shot at some point. It's just that when we do get a chance to go somewhere we want to feel sure that it will be worth it. When I get a chance I'll post about the fiasco we had at a very well known restaurant recently. Hila...

Re: Katie Bar The Door?

I'm going to amend my earlier post in this thread. The food is still very good, but we went recently and it just happened to be pizza night. After over an hour we had nothing at the table, and when we flagged our waiter he showed up with part of our order. It was one of our pizzas and had been sever...

I'd love to see someone do something with Foodies. Great building and prime location.

Re: Lakeview Lunch Memories

When I moved into my first apartment on Canal Blvd. way back when I went to Lovecchio's on Harrison my very first night I lived there. I had no groceries...milk, bread, eggs, nothing. Typical male planning.

Lakeview Deli, which has taken over some of the space, is delicious though.

Re: Katie Bar The Door?

Katie's has been a go-to for us the last couple of months. We went maybe four days ago and had a fantastic oyster appetizer--fried oysters on some brie cheese and spinach. They had a delicious flavor. They were served in oyster shells, and the kitchen had put several in each shell because they were ...

Re: Got A Babysitter...Going To Dakota

It was great. My wife had crabmeat and brie soup, and I had shrimp and grits for an appetizer. Both were delicious. We split a spinach salad with strawberries, pecans and goat cheese. For dinner I had that awesome soft shell crab they do. They stuff it with shrimp, crawfish, etc. so it is the size o...
