Re: Kitchen Nightmares: Zeke's
Didn't the same people that own Frankie and Johnny's end up owning Zeke's after his death? I haven't been particularly thrilled there lately either.

Re: Crescent City Steakhouse
I usually don't go to CCS with the exception of Mardi Gras Day. It's about 3 minutes from my house, so getting around town isn't a problem. The crowd is interesting to say the least. We hit the gap between lunch and dinner (around 5pm), so the wait isn't long, if at all..... This has become a fun tr...

Anybody been to this new spot on Carrollton? I assume it is the place that started with an "A" across from Venezia's....The little buzz I've heard has been good.

Try the union supermarket....pretty much Williams and W. Esplanade...that would be your best bet I know of....Jeeves wrote:I'll bet those were fantastic. I've had them at Pupuseria Divino Corazon in Gretna, mostly used as a garnish for various things there. I wish I could find some of the larger ones.

Sunday on the beach in Tulum
I had a really good time this past Sunday at the beach down here. My oldest aquaintance is one of the local Mayan Healers I met during 9/11. Her name is Lili. She's pretty far out, but one of the kindest people I know. Sunday afternoons she has a Jam session at her place. This time we cooked chiccha...

Re: My dinner tonight in Mexico
So is Mexico the new Spain, or am I misunderstanding? Nah...I've been coming down here for 10 or 12 years. It was just interesting to be introduced to this couple that happened to be from Barcelona since I was just there. They are retired and love to cook , so they opened a little place. It would b...
