New "Sammy's Market" Location

Post by Jerry »

Tuesday for lunch...we had onion rings on the mind so we tried Sammy's new location at 901 Vets.
This is the original location of Mr. Ed's and has been an Italian Pie for the last several years....for those not compass challenged, it's at the North West corner of Vets and Rosa.

Their signature roast beef po (or poor) boy was just as good as I remember in Bucktown and the onion rings were great.

Give them a try before they start getting busy...it's still a small place.

I'm in agreeement with you, Jerry. We had roast beef po-boys there last week. Our only "beef" is that Sammy's isn't as spacious as they were at the Live Oak Market and Deli.
