Tamales at Joe Sepie's

Post by willifred »

Has anybody had the Hot Tamales at Joe Sepie's....Might be the best one's I've had in town. Got to get out into the country to do better. The texture is amazing. Very smooth, not greasy at all, just the right amount of heat and spice, and the sauce is right on time. I live near the old Manuel's location on Carrollton and miss them alot. Never considered them to be anything special. But I miss them. However these blow Manuel's out of the water. Any others in town I need to know about???
I went there after reading posts from some of you on the board, very good rec. I talked to the guy (owner) for a good while. He is from Raceland originally and told me that the cajun stuff is the best thing on the menu. I had a catfish/shrimp plate that was really good. but I'm all over the ettouffe next time.
