Thanh Thanh

Post by bam bam »

I had a court appearance in Gretna this morning. Hit this quasi-Vietnamese place for lunch. I had my standard order of shrimp spring rolls and pho ga. I liked both very much. The menu is fairly extensive including a wide variety of breakfast items. Service was decent. I would absolutely go back.

I've been for breakfast and really enjoyed it.

We picked up from there a few nights ago. We had the Charbroiled Korean Style Beef Ribs and the Shaken Salted Shrimp...both of which were very good.

Exactly! If anyone wants to go, I'm usually game if I'm not working.

Hmm, good to know! I've not had these 2 items.
I usually go to 9 Roses for Vietnamese, but I really like Thanh Thanh - which is totally different from 9 Roses & in my 'hood.
It's definitely a keeper!

They also have American items. I like the breakfast sandwiches on croissant, omelets, T2 breakfast. Their mac n cheese is good too!
The grilled chicken bahn mi is one of my faves (extra jalepeno), Asian chicken salad, grilled shrimp (not remembering name), spring rolls, etc.
Really, I've not had anything there that wasn't good!

Believe it or not, the same family is opening a pizza joint a few doors down on the corner of Huey P. Long & 2nd Street.

I agree with JAG. We had a good breakfast there. I'd go back.
