Isobella,

On the capital square there is a little store called "Fromagination." They sell Wisconsin cheeses as well as cases full of cheeses from all over the world. The best part is that you can taste ALL of the cheeses before purchasing. Which hotel are you at?

The store has a website, Fromagination. They are very friendly and will encourage you to try as many as you like. They do a cheese flight on Sundays, too.

Saga Blue on Bosch pears w/ a St. Francis Chardonnay is my go to for summer.

For a relatively inexpensive Blue, try Roaring Forties....Austrailian, acutally it may be from Tazmania....really nice texture and taste

I remember 2 things as a wee tike going to Swiss Colony, maple sugar candy shaped like a pilgrim and chocolate cheese,
the only other place I ever saw it was Dorignac's, up until the 90's.
Anyway else remember this, or know where it can be obtained?

I've been getting the bacon-flavored cheese balls with the sliced almond coating, and spreading it on Original Wheat Thins. Dorignac's won't allow this cheese to associate with the "real" cheeses around the cheese "pit." Seriously!

Now where can get some Boon Farms Strawberry Hill to go with this?!:)

Really ripe Mount Tam is my current favorite, though there are too many cheeses in the world to have a single favorite.

Hey JAG!

Noticed the way you spelled "favourite".

Are you British??

Nope. British influence on New England...I spell colour too.

I agree with the other posters....too many good cheeses out there to have a favorite. I am so glad I am not lacotose intolerant. I love cheese.
