Cline Viognier California 2008

Post by Low-N-Slow »

A white Rhone varietal, usually used for blending, but more commonly seen vinified on its own in California, South America and Australia. The 2008 Cline exhibits subtle flavors of pineapple, ripe peach and apricot, with a hint of vanilla bean and a nicely balanced and crisp acidity. Coupled with a rounded, full-bodied mouthfeel, it pairs well with fish or spicy Asian dishes (as would an off-dry Riesling or a Gewurtztraminer).

You guessed it: $8 at Dorignac's.
