Today I made a discovery-of-interest within our family. My wife and I, both right-handers, peel hard-boiled eggs differently.
She holds with her LEFT and peels with her RIGHT.
I hold with my RIGHT and peel with my LEFT.
Reversing is uncomfortable and results in damaged eggs for both of us.
How do you peel HB eggs? Lefties chime i with your comments too. I couldn't figure how to make a single poll work for both LH and RH people.
PS: I now have a jar of HB eggs pickling in the fridge.
Righties - Which hand do you peel HB eggs with?

Art, I may screw up your scientific poll, but I will reply nontheless. I am basically a right handed person. I hold the egg in my left hand and peel with my right. Every day. My breakfast.
Now...here is the twist. Anything that I swing, be it a bat, golf club, axe, broom...I do it left handed. It is a family trait, that my dad, myself, my kids all do. We are all lefties swinging. People would stare when 4 lefties would tee off on the first tee. Growing up watching ONE left handed golfer on the PGA tour in the 60's, Bob Charles, I always found it strange that you could watch a hockey game, and there were almost as many lefties as righties, and in a baseball game, there were many left handed batters that threw right. I always thought it was because a bat and hockey stick was cheap, so you could do it lefty, but if you wanted to golf lefty, well...you had to spend big bucks for a set of clubs to do it, so it was easier (and much cheaper) to play right. Hence, the one lefty PGA golfer.
Watch a hockey game...see how many players have that left hand down, and right hand on the top. Watch a baseball game and see how many bat left, throw right. There must be a name for righties that swing from the left, but beats me!
Oh...I could switch hit in baseball too!

I have some of that which you speak too, Oyster. In my 11 years with Brink's prior to retiring, I "shot" with my right hand, and (at one point) turned the rotary combination on 54 ATM safes a day with my left. (Aside: Most professional safes today have an electronic pushbutton combination entry, and never, ever open a second time with a previous combination).
As John Wayne once said: "Life's tough. It's even tougher if you're stupid."

Crackle with right, hold with right, peel with left.
I'm basically right handed, but bat with left & can bowl either hand.

crackle.........that was what I was trying to "form into words" about my egg peeling....I knew that smushing and peeling was not right. LOLIsabella Maja wrote:Crackle with right, hold with right, peel with left.

I thought this was a Republican/Democrat survey.
Since I am left handed I did not participate so I wouldn't skewer your results! hehe

Everyone is entitled to be stupid, but some abuse the privilege.
