What a let down!!!

I went last night with my wife and another couple from out of town to a very nice place with a great atmosphere. I picked the place. We had never been and had been told that it was a good choice for out-of-towners who wanter "Creole New Orleans food."

I had their signature rabbit dish served with oyster dressing, creole rice and sauteed carrots. The rabbit was just OK. The oyster dressing was flavorless, the carrots tasted like that were candied... far too sweet.... I ate one.

Two others had the crab and salmon cakes. Both agreed that there was not taste of crab.

Other diner had the Beef Bourguignonne. She asked if it was normal to have to cut the beef pieces because they were so tough.

The bottle of Rioja was good.

I was very dissappointed. Not recommended.

And I will name names..... Olivier's in the French Quarter.
