Pre theater dining?

Post by josemama »

I am going to the Mahalia Jackson to see The Color Purple on Thursday and was wondering if there were any pre-theater dinners being offered? Any recommendations for nearby places would be welcome. I may be behind the times, but did anything open in the old Peristyle location?

I'll be there, too!
For Cats we went to Bacco ...and this is a good day for that because of the convenient parking. (no theater special)

Cafe Adelaide was doing a special w/ a bus ride to the theater but that info is not current on their website.

Wolfe's was in the Peristyle location but it closed.

I'm not sure where we're headed this time.

Wolfe's has been closed since the end of August. Should reopen by the end of the year.

You may also want to consider Meauxbar.

Cafe adelaide only has the special on the weekends. I was thinking of Meauxbar but really haven't heard anything one way or the other about it. Bacco is a consideration. Bourbon house's menu does not excite me. I guess anyplace in the quarter would be close enough. Really don't want to be walking anywhere in that part of town after dark with just my mom and I :(

Oooh, maybe bacco's truffle menu!!!
