We spent the weekend in Lumberton, MS with Mrs. Fury's Paw for Fathers Day and drove home via the Gulf Coast and Old Spanish Trail. Pics and story at

Fort Pike had been closed for much needed repairs until just recently. We noticed Sunday that they are open to visitors once again and the grounds have never looked nicer. There are picnic tables and grills available, rest rooms, drink machines. These facilities are free to the public, but admission to the Fort itself is charged at $2 bucks a head. Seniors (62 & over...YAY) and kiddies under 12 go free. Website at http://www.crt.state.la.us/parks/iFortpike.aspx
