We visited the Gillis W. Long Hansen's Disease Center in Carville Saturday. The museum there is certainly interesting and will answer many questions you have ever had about leprosy. Our friend, Elizabeth Shexnyder, museum curator and archivist returned from a year long mission to the Hawaiian Hansen's Center was there and we were so happy to see her back. Cool place, particularly if you're into the history of medicine. Also, the National Guard runs a "boot camp" next door.

I thought this was a post about James. A couple of months ago, he came in for breakfast very early one Saturday at Coulis on Prytania while I was there. Ever the people's man, he dined at the counter with the rest of the proletariat!
