English Muffin Bread

Post by jodyrah »

Tastes like the real thing and very easy. Rather than slice, score with a fork and separate. Must be toasted. BTW, I've successfully divided into slices and frozen.

Combine:
3C flour
2 pkg. yeast
2t. salt
1T sugar
1/4 t. bkg. soda

Heat : 110-120':
2C milk
1/2C water

Add liquids to dry ingred. Beat well.

Add:
3C flour

Spoon into (2) 8x4 loaf pans (spray with pam, sprinkle with cornmeal)

smooth tops, sprinkle with cornmeal

cover, let rise approx. 45 min.

Bake 400', 25 min
remove from pans immediately
