Alternate to Dick and Jenny's

Post by UptownKevin »

Hey all - hoping to get some ideas.

I will be with a group of people this coming weekend and we had planned for dinner at Dick and Jenny's on Saturday night. About 10 people, but they are booked.

Any ideas for an alternate that has similar vibe and food? Was even thinking about Upperline or Brigtsens's, even though they are a bit more dressy. However, I am sure there are some other cool places that don't come to mind. We're staying in the FQ and will be cabbing it.

All ideas are appreciated. FWIW, this is a crew of cool people in the 30-40 year old age range. Not foodies but enjoy good food.

Thanks!

-Kevin

p.s. I'll probably post this over on TF's board too, so you may see it twice.

Coquette has a 4 course tasting menu they might enjoy.

Atchafalaya also comes to mind. I am guessing you want to be in the Uptown area.

If you want a trendier spot then definitely check out Bouligny Tavern. Very cool interior with great tapas style food. Fun for that sized crowd. Especially great if you are going out afterwards. It is associated with Lillette next door.
