Breakfast Tour: J'Anita's

Post by bam bam »

Despite living a stone's throw from J'Anita's, I had actually never eaten there until last week. Part of the reason for this is they stop serving breakfast @ a McDonald's-esque 10:30 am. I have entered on several occasions looking for a big greasy omelet at 11:30 or after noon only to be rebuffed by this policy.

Well, it is quite a shame as I found the breakfast to be outstanding and the prices to be beyond cheap. I had a "pick your own" omelet with ham, onions, green peppers and pepper jack. It was cooked perfectly with the ingredients in the center of the eggs. Omelet is al la carte, so I ordered some grits and wheat toast too. Grits were a little over seasoned but creamy. The coffee was just ok. But I may have got the end of the pot as I arrived a nano-second before the 10:30 breakfast cut off.

Anyway, the place is strongly recommended.
