Parking Meter News FYI

Post by justagirl »

On Saturday, March 27, the Dept. of Public Works will begin ticketing parking meters throughout New Orleans on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. in addition to the regular Monday through Friday, 8-6 meter times. Also, the rate will increase for two-hour meters to $1.50 per hour from the current $1.25 an hour.
“I'm sure when Peyton Manning was growing up he always wanted to throw the TD pass that gave the Saints a Super Bowl win," Jorge Arangure wrote. "Now he has."

Also...they are starting to place "warning" notices on cars at the meters this weekend.

So don't have a heart attack, or attack a meter maid if you venture out to a meter area this weekend and notice something stuck under your windshield wiper.

Mitch would be wise to rescind that nonsense.

I agree with that statement 100%.

Am cat sitting for daughter #3 in Vancouver while she warms her toes in the sand of Belize.

Souvenier of the Olympics - Parking Meters charge $2.00 for one hour, $4.00 for two hours if you can find a meter that will let you stay two hours.
As John Wayne once said: "Life's tough. It's even tougher if you're stupid."

The guy is an abject socialist hell bent on feeding the trough of government. Parking meters, and the subsequent, ticketing, booting and towing is a great way to enslave the few remaining productive members of the New Orleans population.

In other words, I wouldn't hold my breath.

Didn't say he was wise.....even a broken clock is right twice a day. Maybe he'll be right once.
