Re: Oyster Dressing

Judi, how about making the oyster dressing, and then putting it into mini-muffin pans and baking it until it kinda forms a crust so it will hold together, and then serving it as a pick-up? Re: Adventures in my Pantry

(for those who don't know, Bart, JAG, ambrosia and expat hosted the party I threw for 200+ when he left for the Franciscans) AND they all brought food and stuff..... I wouldn't so much call it "hosted". Especially since I tried to talk you out of having it at your house up until the day b...

Re: Got Into a Fight With My GF at the Grocery Store!!

Globe9, Just as a "heads up", in an emergency use peanut butter in place of Tahini. I've done it and it's pretty hard to taste the difference. In fact, I quit buying Tahini when I couldn't find it under $7 a bottle, but I will have to stop by Byblos Market and pick some up. Wow! That's in...

Re: NOLA Underground Restaurant

I agree with posters about the liability, tax, payroll, etc. issues, and being unfair competition to legitimate businesses. Besides, it seems to me that we can get a pretty nice meal with wine pairings, tax, and nice tip for $300 for a couple, and there are so many restaurants that we haven't had t...

Re: What's your favorite ice cream?

Oooh expat I love Bryers Vanilla Bean but I have not bought ice cream in a long time. I think last time I got Blue Bunny in the tiny individual servings. It was perfect. I was able to hide them behind the broccoli so sweetie could not find them. Haha! I do the same thing with the little pints of Ha...
