Isn't it crazy that you have to purchase a special device to solve this problem? Geez. The funny thing is it happens to me most while watching public broadcasting channels while I am trying to nap on the weekends. So Laura, I feel your pain!

Screaming commercials

I must say that even Billy Mays was not as loud as some of these commercials I hear. Can't "they" fix the tv so the sound is even all the time? AARGH!

Re: One Last Fishing Trip... for a while

Mrs Fury, Have you contacted the person or place where you booked your fishing trip to check the current status of their operation? It's around Barataria Bay. We were hoping to have enough money to go soon but I don't think we will anyway. Gotta do some house remodel stuff. If we have to we can alw...

Re: One Last Fishing Trip... for a while

We were planning a charter trip in June. I guess that's out the window. Your fish cakes sound great. I never smoked fish but I'm going to have to give it a try. We just went fishing in Ft. Morgan, AL from the pier of the marina. Hubby caught some huge trout. I caught some drum, trout and a bunch of ...

Louie takes boiled crabs, breaks them in half and tosses them in a bbq shrimp sauce, served with french bread. Delicious.

Re: Thanks for the recs re: Ft. Morgan...

Apparently Gulf Shore Steamers has movd to Orange Beach. The place there now, Steamers, has been open about a month. They said they kept everything the same. The royal red shrimp were great! Everything else was ok. No seasoning on the corn or potatoes. The smoked tuna dip was good but could have bee...

We are having a blast. Been to Doc's (eh), Shrimp Basket (yummy), Tacky Jack's twice (it's like a block away - eh it's food), Wheel House (YES!) and tomorrow for lunch we're going to try Gulf Shores Steamers and dinner at Bahama Bob's. If you want to see pics and stuff go here. http://www.ladayrides...

Re: Acme

I feel bad for you people who love raw ones, like my hubby. I've been to three different Acme locations with him and the food sucked at each one. The service was bad/weird at only one. Hubby was happy with the oysters though.
