Watermelon Ginger Cocktail

When I tire of margaritas and want more kick than a Pimms, I make up a pitcher of these... great poolside. Recipe is for 1 cocktail but make several, they go down easy. Although the recipe came from the TRUVIA site, I use splenda...it's sweeter and dissolves better. combine in a blender: 1 packet sp...

Re: Cuvee

It's been about that long for me too. I just can't get my husband interested...there's always somewhere (anywhere) else he'd rather eat.

Cuvee

I've had a $100 gift certificate for over a year. For some reason this place has been off my radar yet I've always enjoyed my meals there. Anyone been lately? Their site has been under construction forever.

local seafood still a bargain

I stopped in a Jersey shore fish market to pick up some clams.... $5 per dozen for little necks. They were excellent.

Extra large shrimp (U 10-12 without heads)...$19.95 per pound
Medium shrimp $15.95
Jumbo lump (from Maryland)...$34.95 per pound

Re: Fried Chicken

I like Emeril's chicken and waffles (lunch, brunch when open). I am also a fan of Willie Mae's (lunch again). I found Mr. Ed's crisp, greaseless and bland. My son had this comment re: Fury's...well fried, needed seasoning.

Re: The restaurant List.

I've enjoyed Le Foret's tasting menu. Valet parking as well. I was not impressed with Bistro Daisy. The changing menu is small and the options were not anything I would have normanlly chosen (albeit well prepared). I've not been to the other two.

Re: Galvez

Probably since our illustrious "food critic" has dined there at least a couple of times. On second thought, maybe not. "Circumstances" sometimes cause an early visit. You know, this 6 month thing is self imposed and not hard and fast.
