The house I live in now was owned by a guy who worked at the Roosevelt/Fairmont for years, 30?... Have some neat i...

ratcheese, You're not the only one. I don't find B.A.'s writing/reviews witty, clever or interesting. New Orleans cuisine has a distinct history to it and a quirky one at that. There is a big difference experiencing something briefly so to speak as an adult and spending a lifetime interacting with i...

I wonder why the mention of Brett Anderson's name doesn't raise the same emotional reaction in people as the mention of Tom Fitzmorris? IMO, Brett Anderson is a Minnesota transplant who mainly gives sporadic reviews in the Times Picayune. Tom Fitzmorris is a local personality who has been writing, ...

Live Oak, Maybe they haven't gotten all the kinks out?...I do think it takes a few+ months to smooth out...(Hope...

Re: Fresh Local Seafood is Available
I'm sure it was farm raised catfish? Rouse's has an ad for boiled crabs from Lake Ponchartrain and local shrimp, But I read this story in todays Times Picayune about a small restaurant owner closing because of seafood prices, and the article also mentions Tommy Cvitanovich talking about the high sea...
