Re: Return To New Orleans
I saw them, too - Lots of really pretty mosiacs. Hopefully she'll be back up and running soon. Admin, I bought something on etsy a few months ago... My first time hearing of the site but my daughter "had to have" this ridiculous Jonas Brothers necklace that they were hawking outside the mo...

Re: Hungarian Settlement, LA
Jeeves, We've been to Louis Bartus' place several times. Good sausage... The smell of that Hungarian paprika hangs in the house for days afterwards, though. :) He's a pretty cool guy - He very gladly gave us a tour of his set up, including showing us several old newspaper articles about his business...

Re: Coffee question
Wow, thanks for all the great responses!
I'm going to try JudiB's method first, Annie Laurie's second and then Isabella's. If I remember, I will take/post photos.
Thanks again - And I'm sure my coffee maker thanks you, too!

Coffee question
What would it be like if I brewed a pot of coffee using milk instead of water? Anyone ever tried it? I'm not worried about wasting the ingredients if it's a flop but I don't want to gunk up the workings of my coffee maker. Thoughts?

What about e-Bay? I saw quite a few in the $15-$20 range, with shipping.

Re: Feel good listen
Yes, I remember Paul Potts. I listened to him for days after he hit YouTube. And I don't even like opera. His voice was just stunning and such a constrast from his appearance & demeanor.

Re: Feel good listen
Am I the only one who doesn't get it? I mean no disrespect whatsoever... She's got a nice voice but I just don't see what all the fuss is about.

Re: Deviled Eggs
Mine is similar to Nanette but frequently I follow my SIL and add some chopped really crispy bacon to the yolk mix. A little finely shredded sharp cheddar never hurt anyone, either.

Can he accept money with which to buy food? What about perishables? (shrimps come to mind)
Or would that be parishables? (Sorry > Just couldn't resist!)

Re: Hey Jeeves...
That's them! Thanks, y'all. My husband actually guessed poule d’eau but I didn't know how to spell it so my internet searches came up dry. :covri: I was, however, able to identify another different breed that was also out there: Muscovy Duck http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2252/2286203495_fb6aaa1a5c....
