Re: JAG's Boyfriend is taking her to San Francisco

Had a great meal at Slanted Door on Embarcadero last year for my brother's law school graduation. Food was fantastic, though the raw oysters for $15 for 6 thoroughly opened my eyes on just how good our oysters are and just how lucky we are (yeah, yeah, another thread). The food is Vietnamese/Califor...

I mean could it be any better? Crawfish were big, soft shelled and delicious. $1.29 a pound aint bad either. The bisque some of them ended up in came out good. A good day...should be more like it.

New Orleans Music?

I'm a casual music fan, born and raised in Gentilly, but I have to admit that my knowledge of a lot of the local music scene is limited. I know a lot of you here are or were involved in that scene, so I'm asking for suggestions. What is some of the staple, local stuff that I should be listening to t...

Domenica again

Went last Friday night and sat at the Bar. Started off by ordering a cheese/salumi plate and glass of Edami Proseco. The sparkling was quite good, and so was the cheese and salami. First thing I noticed after I ordered were a bunch of plain bottles, some with fruit, of booze with hand written labels...

Re: Ugly lawn

I had to have words with my neighbors landscapers who thought it was a good idea to blow her cut grass directly into my just washed truck THAT HE SAW ME WASHING! It hasn't happened again thankfully, and my neighbor said if they did it again, she'd fire them. It's so obnoxious.

Re: Double Down?

When I was in Chile last October, I ordered a bacon wrapped chicken. It arrived with (literally) 3/4 of an inch of bacon around it...at least 10 ply. It was insane.

And for the record, that "sandwich" looks terribly disgusting.
