Re: American Sector
Jonathan, I am looking forward to checking this place out, so I am anxious to hear more of what you think. Do they do breakfast by any chance? Sorry. No breakfast. They open at 11 seven days, or whenever the Museum is open. I want to venture out at night and try A Mano b/c it's only open for dinner...

American Sector
Group: I'm headed over there for lunch today. I've had the Gumbo, very good, and the chicken fried steak, good but not CFS by any definition I know.
I have recs for the rabbit pate and the sliders. Anyone else been or know what's good or not? Thanks.

Re: Cursed Locations
936 st. charles (le cirque) 628 st. charles (mike's on the avenue) it's either the location(s) or vicky bailey. ;) I think those spots die from lack of parking. Those two spot either have valet parking every minute you're open or you will go broke. To me, simple as that. Some locations simply must ...

I agree with JAG. We had a good breakfast there. I'd go back.

Re: "Catch" to open on Magazine
I'll try the place. He hasn't messed up the Gumbo Shop. Opinions are mixed on Camellia Grill and Byblos Market on Vets is good. I'll give him a shot.

Re: a Mano
I've got it downtown. I'll put it up on twitpic and post a link. That's worked for me before. The menu should be up in the next couple of hours.

To each his own. No two people ever agree about every place. I hope you enjoy whereever you do go. I'm trying Jackson next for a late lunch. Report later.bam bam wrote:Don't like it. Not a fan. Won't be back.

Sweet Gals
Group: I figured I'd start a new thread. They've made some changes since JAG and Bam went. I think they read the older string. First, they now have a large "order here" sign that makes it clear how to do things. Second, they now have a sign that says "any crepe available as an omelett...

Re: Le Pavillion Sunday brunch
It must be better than the weekday lunch. That's a good salad bar, pretty good gumbo and really bad hot items. I mean bad. There's a pasta bar during the week which is decent. It's over 20 bucks. I've given up on it during the week until I hear the hot dishes have gotten better. Maybe it's better on...

Re: Blue Plate
I've liked Blue Plate for some time. I have lunch there every couple of weeks. I've done the breakfast several times. I've always liked the place. She's not going to reinvent the wheel or anything but the basics have been good. I like the "Swine Divine" at lunch. Pork loin stuffed with fet...
