Re: How Lucky We Are

You couldn't be more correct. It's difficult to find a restaurant here that is just plain bad (although it does happen), but we should be grateful that our restaurant situation is so rich in quality and diversity that we only have the details to nit pick. In other words, yet one more reason that New...

Re: Squeal BBQ

We'll have to go some afternoon. Maybe Jag would want to meet up with us. As for this weekend...we've just been to Sam's and Doug bought 15 pound brisket to smoke on Sunday. Walker's can and does run out of food at the lunch service. I have been there at 1pm and there was no food left. You can avoi...

Re: JAG takes Bam on 4 hour sausage odyssey

I am shocked no one has said it, but doesn't the subject line for this post speak for itself?

Re: Domenica

Try the minted lamb meatball pizza w/ricotta: absolutely great. I tried it last Friday and thoroughly enjoyed it. Only one comment, since I am a pick up the slice and eat it kind of person, the meatballs wanted to roll off. I think maybe the meatballs could be flattened a bit to prevent rolling. Ot...

Feelings Cafe

I am thinking about going to Feelings Cafe this weekend on a date with my wife, but have never been. I have been on a date with my wife before, just never to Feelings Cafe. Can anyone provide some info? What other restaurants is it like? Is it clubby? Friendly? How is the food? What are go-to items?...

Re: Squeal BBQ

I have been to Squeal. Their bbq is, as already mentioned, not very interesting. I did find their sides both tasty and interesting. It's also odd that there has been no mention of The Joint. For southern style, it seems like it really meets the requirements of good bbq. Everything is slow smoked ove...

Re: Fried Chicken

There are lots of places to get good fried chicken here in town and some of them have already been listed. My favorite go-to place is McHardy's because it is so good and close by. However, the best chicken in town is at Willie Mae's Scotch House. Went there today for lunch and it was soo good. Their...

Re: Maple Street Patisserie

We picked up some goods last Sunday: croissants, chocolate croissants, creampuffs, and challah. Everything was very good and reasonably priced. I still prefer the croissants at Croissant D'Or but this is an excellent riverbend option.

Re: Poor Boy Festival to Move to Palmer Park Amid Controversy

Keep it on Oak Street. Palmer Park won't offer anything that is already available in the current location. And it is good for the commercial district!
