Re: I need suggestions
Thanks for all the great help everyone! I have rented a nice house in College Station and we are looking forward to our visit. I am planning my menu for dinner that night and brunch the following morning. So far I think for apps we will have shrimp cocktail, using Alton Brown's cocktail sauce recipe...

I need suggestions
I have booked a house for one night next week in order to meet our son's girl friend. It appears a bit serious (he is 25 and a senior at Texas A&M). I want this to go well and make her feel comfortable. The house is fully equipped with all the kitchen and grill/patio needs. The problem comes in ...

Re: I forget.....
Well I found the thread in the archives on the old forum. It was one started by me...LOL. It was very helpful once again but it seems like I remembered someone had included a Christian singer's song that had been played at their wedding. I did not see that one listed - any ideas?
Thanks,
Jen

I forget.....
there was a thread at some point (was it this board or the old one - I don't know) about the most romantic songs. I remember we had some wonderful replies on the topic - some of you mentioned songs you had on your wedding day and such. Anyway, my niece is getting married in May and I want to compile...

Re: What Song...
I know they are great songs and were/are very popular - it is just that I have heard them SO many times, and let me add - I feel that way about any Boston song as well. It is just me I guess...but enough is enough.Turbodog wrote:Those are two great songs. Both made lots of $$$ for their repsective writers.

Mr. Bojangles and Me and Bobby McGee come to mind. I can't change stations fast enough when I hear either one.

Re: Garden Photos?
Isabella, my husband built these about a year ago. He used landscape timbers, which he notched on the ends so they would fit together snuggly. It took most of a whole bundle from Home Depot for our 3 beds (one was not in the shot). They are 8 feet long- so you can cut some in half and make the garde...

Re: Garden Photos?
I've enjoyed these raised garden beds. They are easy to maintain, you don't have to worry about critters getting into them so much and it is much easier on your back. I have all herbs in the right one and eggplants and a variety of peppers in the one on the left. These are right off my back/kitchen ...
