Re: Need your insights

Thanks for all your suggestions! Now I might have to put all the names in a hat and draw one out!!! We're from a small town south of Birmingham (Roll Tide), and we love New Orleans. Some of the steaks ya'll mentioned I've never heard of, nor seen on a menu in my neck of the woods. Namely, a skirt st...

A little added information: we will be flying into NO, and taking a taxi to our hotel, the Hilton Riverside. We will either walk, take a taxi, or streetcar to any destination.

Re: Oysters

Our trip to NO is over and now just a memory; thanks to you who recommended Luke for their oysters; they were the best I've ever had, and my husband is still talking about them! While there, I also had their fried oyster, avocado, and bacon salad...outstanding!

Oysters

I know this topic has been addressed before, but I guess I didn't pay attention. Husband and I will be in NO for several days this week, and we love oysters on the half shell; where can we find the best? Thanks for any suggestions.

Re: Yarn shop

Thank you so much, kcdixiecat. I love to knit, and I like to visit yarn shops in different cities. We are staying at the Intercontinental on St. Charles; would I be able to walk to the shop on Magazine from my hotel, or would I need to take a taxi? I appreciate your help.
