Re: Brigtsen's

And you tell people you have a very good cask of Amontillado that you'd like them to try, I bet!

Re: One in the Riverbend

It was good. The mozzarella was in the form of little marble-sized balls (maybe five of them). I would actually say the salad was the best part of the meal. I'd love to know where I could find some of those tomatoes. Of all the variations on a caprese salad I've had this was at the top. The food bar...

One in the Riverbend

My wife and I went there last night. We started with an appetizer of crabcakes with a cabbage/basil salad and a mustard vinaigrette. These were very good, but the term crabcake was misleading. Basically, there were three little mounds of lump crabmeat on the plate with the cabbage salad in the middl...

Re: O'Donnell's in Ponchatoula

Let us know what you think when you go, Jeeves, Mrs. Fury, and Turbodog. I've introduced several people to it, and they were all very surprised. Re: Bacco Report

When we were seated I noticed that the room we were in was filled exclusively with parties of two...males. ...

O'Donnell's in Ponchatoula

Has anybody ever been here? It's a fantastic place in the historic section of Ponchatoula right were the tracks cross the main drag. It used to be a place called C'est Bon which was also fairly good. The new owners Sean and Phil O'Donnell (the chef) have created a restaurant that could stand with al...

Re: Professor Food on Garland's Radio Show on WWL

Where did he go in Europe that had no fat people? A co-worker of mine went to Germany, Croatia, Serbia, and surrounding area and there were fat people in her pics (and no, they weren't tourists). I have been to Italy once and the rarity of obese people was very noticeable. I attribute it to a coupl...
