I am sorry but I missed the part in 2000 where liberals gave George W. Bush a chance. Oh was that the part where they muddled the election in Florida to the point where Bush couldn't even have a transition?
And then somehow managed to blame the response for the USS Cole bombing, which took place while he was Governor of Texas on him?
Regardless, I for one plan to cling to my guns and religion to get me through this trying time.

I've said it all along....I'll be praying that my feelings for Obama are wrong.
I agree, we should give him a chance. The behavior of the democrats after 2000 and 2004 was absolutley disgusting, and I hope that Republicans do not become like vitriolic party of "NO" that we saw from the dems. The Republican party has some young rising stars, and they need to cultivate them and the bring party back to what it was like under Reagan.
edit: I also pray my feelings on Obama are wrong.

Sorry, but I can not be as hopeful as many of you.
My wish (curse?) is that every single Obama voter (particularly the elderly) continue to live a long life, so that they can enjoy every single day of the messiah's "rule" (4,8,12,16 yrs), fully appreciate what their vote has brought (done) to America, and fully revel in what his "new order" (spread the wealth) will be doing for (to) them!
Sorry, but I can not be as hopeful as many of you.
Understandable considering the U.S. elected a Marxist president yesterday.

"A political party cannot be all things to all people. It must represent certain fundamental beliefs which must not be compromised to political expediency, or simply to swell its numbers.
I do not believe I have proposed anything that is contrary to what has been considered Republican principle. It is at the same time the very basis of conservatism. It is time to reassert that principle and raise it to full view. And if there are those who cannot subscribe to these principles, then let them go their way." - Ronald Reagan, 1975 CPAC Speech
