I just found this great article about CBS. This author hit the nail on the head, twice! Once in regards to viewers and once in regards to show creators. Hopefully a day will come when no one wants their show on CBS and no one wants to watch CBS. They are the show killing network. There are still a few shows on that network that I watch, but no new ones. I specifically avoid new shows on CBS because CBS does not give its new shows or the showrunners much of a chance.
I hope Swingtown comes back, but with low ratings I would not get my hopes up. If they cancel it, executive producer Carol Barbee will have had two shows that CBS killed after one season. I do not expect any sort of anouncement from them regarding Swingtown until they "choose not order any more episodes". Perhaps I am wrong on this one and hopefully so, but if CBS remains true to form I would not expect to see Swingtown next summer.
After reading this article, it looks like The Ex List might not make it either.
