That has to be the most not thought out thing a company could do. Did they NOT see a problem with replacing a non-religious holiday (American) honoring the worker.....with a foreign religious holiday was not going to bring on boycotts and outrage? If they were going to change one, get rid of the birthday holiday, I find that one stupid. They have already monkeyed with the holidays over the years to add others, but this is rediculous. I wonder how much of a dive Tyson stock has taken.

This wasn't Tyson's doing - it was the union's insistence that a Muslim holiday be granted to appease the 700 Muslim members that they have.

Tyson took the position of, "Fine - but you're only going to get a net total of eight paid holidays per year, so if you insist on your Muslim holiday, then you'll be jerking feathers on the one day a year set aside to honor WORKERS.

P.S. Go f*ck yourself."

I think this was a brilliant strategy by Tyson Foods and to show my appreciation at their subtlety in sticking it to the union, I'm going to eat some of my kids' Tyson chicken nuggets after work tonight.

Are they also going to put in a chapel? How can they justify a prayer room and not a chapel. If that deal is not set in stone, they had better re-think that whole thing.
