With President Obama making appointments to his transition team and meeting with heads of state, you can't help but wonder if the "poor" economic news isn't a consequence of his administration. Anyway, before he establishes food rationing as well as a nationwide ban on foods that derive more than 1/3 of their calories from fat, I am attempting to dine out as much as possible. Although several of my friends are cutting back and putting away money in advance of the inevitable tax increases.

Where do you stand on the mess that is the Obama economy?

Well, here I go again....

I was DETERMINED to "throw away" my vote and vote Libertarian. (As I've threatened to do in previous elections).

Can't do it. I'll begrudgingly be voting for Mad McCain. :shootself:

Saving money for the inevitable tax increase. I have spent some at the gun show in advance of the inevitable ban on guns, though.

I am not sure either. It has been a brilliant strategy by the GOP to make this election a referendum on Obama.

It should be a referendum on Obama. He is the least qualified person to ever make it hthis far. The democrats are the dumbest bunch of clowns I have ever seen. They voted for this empty suit in the primaries without thought to the general election.

While I do think it will be relatively close, it is looking like McCain can and will win the election.

Ms. Turbodog, who is fairly liberal and a "green" person, has stated much like Naneete, that she will be voting for McCain. anybody who knows Ms. Turbodog knows that is bad news for Obama.

Yes, a brilliant strategy that John Kerry and the Democrats used to great effect in 2004.

Sarcasm aside though, you're not honestly suggesting the republicans nominated the most unremarkable, uncharismatic, candidate in recent memory as some kind of clever political ploy, are you? I mean, think about what you're saying here.

I am not saying that. But there are a bunch of us who would never vote for McCain but will vote against Obama. What the Obama-mania has done has tapped into a deep cyncism amonget those of us on the right with some political savvy who might otherwise be ho hum about this election.

I went ahead and properly inflated my tires and got a tune up, therefore saving us the trouble of having to drill our own oil.

Then I went to La Boca.

Great post, JAG!

The more he talks, the dumber he gets.

As Rusah said today, "in any sane political climate, Obama would be a laughing stock".

Don't even get me started on Nacy "we have a planet to save" Pelosi. She might be the most ignorant person I have ever seen in such a lofty position.

Nancy Pelosi needs to take the yard stick and the broom out of her ass. There is something like 40% natural seepage in to the environment from oil, but only 1% due to drilling. We've come close to perfect engineering in drilling for oil, it would be better for the environment (in many ways) to let us drill the oil.

IMO anyway.

Thanks Turbo...I cracked me up.

What is scary is that woman is in the presidential line of succession.

A GREAT line from Sturgis:

STURGIS, S.D. - Thousands of motorcyclists greeted Republican presidential candidate John McCain with an approving roar Monday as he sought blue-collar and heartland support by visiting a giant motorcycle rally.

"As you may know, not long ago a couple hundred thousand Berliners made a lot of noise for my opponent. I'll take the roar of 50,000 Harleys any day," McCain said, referring to Democrat Barack Obama's recent visit to the German capital.

Having completed my 17 years in the S.F. Bay area, let me say that Nacy (Nancy) is just middle-of-the-road for a S.F. politician. Another "piece of work" is their mayor, also the Chief Of Police, and most of the City Councilors. The stories of S.F. politics go on and on.
