that those two idiots paid a gazillion dollars to screw up is bad nettiquette, is there another way to get the word out? I know of at least five people who read the old forum regularly but don't post. And I don't mean, they posted once. I mean they don't even have handles on that site.

I have been invited to participate in several other upstart food forums over the years, and the reason I stayed at New Orleans.com is I felt like I was being read there. (Incidentally, I don't feel that way since the changeover.) So I was wondering, what can we do in order to drive traffic to this new and improved and much superior forum. I volunteer Turbodog to call Fitzmorris during Monday's show and scream the internet address into the phone 15 times. Certainly, that would be more entertaining than Clark the Gourmet Truck Driver.

Since I as at neworleans.com since it's inception, I have made friends with and met for drinks, dinner and parties over the years. I have many of their personal email addresses, if you want, I would not mind sending the link to them

Yvette, we appreciate any good word-of-mouth, especially from sources we know (if not personally) and respect. If those folks can bring a sensibility similar to yours this way, we'd be glad to have them.

ps. We see you found your font color, but where's your decanter?

It appears Mac has volunteered himself to do publicity. :o

Good one, bam. I'll see what I can do about that.

The decanter is on my PC, not my laptop. I was downstairs yesterday posting and signing up. I will have to change to my decanter sometime today when I get a chance.

Screw them.
They were repeatedly asked for administrative assistance, and failed to respond.

I agree with Mac. No reponses to legitimate questions/concers from long-term participants.

The speed issue alone should oom them. It's almost like dail-up speed.

I'm out here in the middle of nowhere WITH dial-up. It's WORSE than any other site that I've visited as far as speed. This is great.... (I felt like a traitor for about 2 minutes when I jumped over here...not anymore)

If you're on dial-up and just in the mood to play catch-up, you can also use the Archive (link at bottom of page) for a very low-bandwidth read-only version of the forum.

Did you hear that Clark is going with Tom on his next cruise (for real)? We can get you the room right next to them if you would like. Or, maybe a seat next to him and Amarone at Impastato's?

Buzd...I care that you are here. Welcome. It might take a while for everyone to surf over, but this site is a hell of a lot better than the other board.

AND I heard Clark say he is going to bring his trumpet. TF said they may be able to "get something going."
