As I'm listening to C. Ray step on his crank yet once again, I start to think about how similar hizzoner and Obama are.
Neither one has much experience in the job they hold/seek
Both hold themselves in "rock star" status
Neither one thinks they have to answer to anyone
Both deny any culpability for their (in)actions
I think NOLA residents are living in the future. I can't see the country doing much better than this city if Obama is elected.
I think they are very much the same with the exception of some experience. Nagin has more experience as an executive. He has run (or at least attempted, well, held the office) of a chief executive (Mayor of a large U.S. City) for around 6 years now. Obama has three years experience as a U.S senator, and 6 years experience as an Illinois Senator. Obama has never held an executive office to my knowledge.
Had Obama held the office of Mayor or Governor we would know a lot more about how he intends to govern, as of now all we have is his voting record in the two seats he has held.
McCain also has no executive experience, but has a much longer voting record to look at, was a pilot and commisioned officer in the Navy.
The future does not look good for the nation or the city right now. The only good news is Nagin can not run again.

The media is much more forgiving of Obama's gaffes.

McCain was the commanding officer of VA-174, the Navy's largest aviation squadron. Over 1,000 personnel and 75 jets. That's executive experience.
And Obama does NOT have 3 years experience as a Senator. He started his presidential run 143 days after taking office. Of the 120 months or so since 1998 when he was first elected in Illinois, fully HALF of that time has been spent seeking higher office. He has done nothing to represent the people who elected him to speak on their behalf.
I am not a McCain fan. But I'm damn sure not an Obama cult member like Dominici. Or these idiots:

(I don't mean that offensively no need for anyone to get their knickers in a knot)
Don't worry about bringing up race,
Obama the ROBOT does on the same speech he is now giving everywhere he goes, it must be on a loop.....
Obama only got to be a Senator because Jack Ryan couldn;t keep it in his pants and (had to withdraw, that must have been a first) stepped down as the GOP canidate 68 days before the election.
