Langenstein's! They have good almond chicken salad, too. I've seen spinach dip at Dorignac's, as well.
Langenstein's!
I picked up a container of their Le Popeye dip yesterday. You are right, that is good stuff.

Does anyone know if the Bennigan's on Severn will be closing?

Actually, none of the Bennigan's in the New Orleans area are closing as they are franchised restaurants and are independently owned. The franchise restaurants are not part of the bankruptcy, and therefore will be staying open. The Steak & Ale on Veterans, I heard on the radio, is already closed. Kinda a shame, b/c as far as chain restaurants go, I thought Steak and Ale was pretty good...MUCH better IMO than Bennigan's.

I've never been to Steak and Ale. The appearance of the outside always reminded me of cold weather.
I haven't been to Bennigan's since the mid 80's, it seemed to be popular when I was in highschool, not sure why....old age I guess:D

I used to like going there after a hard night of waiting tables (TF showing up would qualify as a rough night). It was a great place for booze and lousy food after work.
S+A Restaurant Corporation used to own Bennigan's, Steak and Ale, Bonanza and several other concepts.
