After one of the frat guys drank himself to death several years ago the university asked not to be put on the list any more or something like that.

I can promise that LSU kids still party with the best of them. At least that is the feeling I get when seeing them on football weekends.

If my kids and their friends are any example, there is plenty of partying going on there.

It is becoming a much more serious school, though. with rising admission standards, etc.

I was a little disappointed not to see them there, but I can understand if they asked not to be on there.

Friends of mine who have gone to LSU always said that LSU wasn't on the list b/c they were professionals and the list was for amateurs. I've been to many an LSU frat party and still know many younger brothers/sisters of friends who go there now, and I'd have to agree with that assessment. LSU is for professional partiers.

globe, LSU was on that list as recent as 2004 because I read that list today. I didn't bother to look up 2005, 2006 or 2007 so I don't know when they dropped off, either by request or by lack of votes.

They've reached Emeritus status thus giving other schools a chance. It is now called "The Top Party Schools in the US that AREN'T LSU"
