Lawn Care

I need someone who'll come over and mow my lawn and the alley ways. I have a 50 feet by 50 feet back yard and the alley ways along both sides of the house. It's really not a big deal, but it needs to be done.

I have 2 dead lawnmowers and am too fustrated to deal with it. I rather just pay someone I can rely on once a week.

Do any of you have any recommendations on someone/company I can call?

I have 2 grannies from the Westbank that do mine and they do a great job.

I'm sure there are plenty of hard working young men in your neighborhood that would be willing to steal a lawnmower to cut your grass. All you have to do is ask.:D

Todd, nice theory, but getting the young men in my neighborhood to do any sort of manual labour is more difficult then getting a Jefferson to be honest.

Up here in Reno, there are more than 100 commercial "Lawn and Garden Services" ready to do your lawn. About 90% of them are independent, with a typical pick-'em-up truck with trailer for the mowers. 5%-10% are operated by students at the University of Nevada.

The first 3/4 of last year I used a (good) commercial guy, for about $110. per month. Includes cutting, edging, and weed 'n feed. At the end of last summer I found a college enterprise, three students, who do better work and charge me only $40. per month.

I have 4' strips in front of the house, and down one side, between the street and the sidewalk, totalling about 175 ft.
