After three years and some serious begging, we finally got a return to food criticism in New Orleans with Brett Anderson milquetoast review of Mr. B's in today's Times Pic. I haven't eaten at Mr. B's in some time so I'll refrain from outwardly disagreeing with the substance of the review, but simply note that the article contained at best tepid criticism.

It is what we have been asking for. Any thoughts?

Fitzmorris has a new "headline" on his Menu...

*****The Stars Never Left!

The stars also involve more equivocation, distinction, and multi-layered interpretation than a criminal defense attorney arguing reasonable doubt.

I have been post-K and it reminded me of Bennigan's 1985, decor and food.....

Haven't read his review.....

In Anderson's defense, he did only give it three beans. It does take a certain amount of testicular fortitude to give a Brennan restaurant only three beans in this city.

Yes, as opposed to a certain shill who is bought & paid for.

I had dinner at Mr B's tonight. The food and service were good but uninspiring.

Gumbo YaYa - O.K.

Pork Chop - Tough and not very flavorful. But cooked properly.

Chocolate Molton - Good.

Three beans is accurate.

The best price/quality wine on the list is the Liberty School Cabernet Sauvignon - $38. Great value.

Agree wholeheartedly. I thought it was a par review for a three bean restaurant. A three bean review says that a place does nothing wrong, but nothing outstanding, which is what I read. I would expect that in a few weeks things will flare up. There are a few places I can't wait for him to get his hands on.
