Wondering how you guys feel about this.... it's certainly caused a media uproar if nothing else.

Personally, I think that Terry Jones dude is a nutcase.... as probably are his flock of 50. (That being said, I'm not too fond of any organized religion)

But.... I hope that he sticks to his guns on this. I believe that it is a FREE SPEECH issue. I don't believe that this will make extremist muslims hate us any more than they already do.

What makes the Quran off limits? Bibles can be burned....American flags can be burned.... crucifixes can be urinated on.... etc.

I'll be curious to see if the dude backs down. (I'm also guessing that his flock will pick up some new members)

How do you guys feel about it?

I truly hope with all of my heart that the jackass gets taken out by a suicise bomber that is as stupid as he is. That would be what I call justice. Talk about lunatic fringe, and people like him expect to be taken seriously. We [the troops] will pay a high price for this moron.

Your post literally made me *cringe*. The wack-job burns books, and you hope that he's murdered? :(

That's bringing yourself far below his level, man.

Nice, Big Shot, real humanitarian. While I might not think it is a good idea, I agree with his right to do it. I don't think it can make things any worse with the crazies.

Listen up. I will never be lower than that piece of crap. I agree with everything that you said. I just have a way to cut to the chase. He is in that wonderful group of souls that are members of "KILLING FOR JESUS" I don't think nice things about people like him. Don't try to hold your breath until some Americans are blown to bits thanks to the jackass that was thrown out of Germany before we were lucky to "have him".

Well, gang.... now I'm beside myself. The STUPID UN is voicing objections? The Vatican? Hillary? BLECH.....

I hope this dude digs his heels in.... and burns.

(Just saw a report that the Fire Dept. might get involved... burning books causes carcinogens from the ink... in which case, the church oughta line up the Qurans and shoot the sh*t out of 'em....).

Honestly.... if the media/government would have ignored this joker, it wouldn't be an issue. (Hope his congregation is all packing)

I pretty much feel the same way about this as I do about the mosque. Just because you have a right to, doesn't mean it's right to.

And if (when) they retaliate, it'll be bigger and badder then burning a book. Do I think terrorist need to be stopped? You're damn right. Am I scared of them? You're damn right. Let our kickass military handle it, not priests and politicians.

I pretty much feel the same as JAG. I will add that, what if the whore media just did not cover the story from the beginning? Of course that would never happen, atleast not when the story involves the negative side of christians, for that they pant like dogs.

#7 throw away to do list.

i dont get the attention focused on this guy or the nyc mosque. this is all a sideshow from the govt and msm to keep us from looking at how the country is going down the tubes. instead of focusing on the problems with the congressional front runner in n.o. (richmond, crook) and the senate incumbent (vitter, pervert, liar, corporate shill) people are talking about some loser down in florida. the guy just want publicity like the westboro baptist church saying god loves dead us soldiers.

Florida Rev. Terry Jones said he is cancelling the planned burning of the Quran and instead flying to New York on Saturday to meet with Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, the man behind the planned New York mosque.

"We have agreed to cancel our event on Saturday and on Saturday I have agreed to meet with the Imam," Jones said Thursday.

He said he decided to cancel his protest because the leader of a planned Islamic Center near ground zero has agreed to move its controversial location. The agreement couldn?t be immediately confirmed.
