Pelosi's right. We totally needed to pass this bill to find out what's in it. There are such goodies like this one. Starting in 2012 businesses will be required to issue 1099s and report to the IRS all purchases over $600. Think about this. Rent, purchases from Staples, court transcripts all will be required for a small business owner to acquire a supplier's tax id number and file a 1099 with the IRS and send a copy of the 1099 to the supplier. I am the managing partner of a 6 person law office and I approve multiple $600 checks everyday. Perhaps, I should have my office manager keep them in her pockets, so she can issue them as needed.
