Maya?

Some people at the gym were talking about Maya and how good it is....said it's on Magazine street near the "Y". What do you guys know about it? Is it mexican? Reviews? Thanks

had lunch there a few months ago, but their website looks like it is dinner and sunday brunch only now. it is latin american cuisine, with some caribbean influence.

we started with the sampler, which was good, but did not have the soft shell that the online menu shows (could be seasonal).
the two sandwiches we shared were both very good (realizing that they were offered on the then lunch menu). I've heard the sangria is very tasty, and so are the cocount curry shrimp and the lechon-roasted pork.
