Before I started law school, I went home for about six weeks. Probably the best time I ever had. The last night before I was to return to NOLA, we hit Philly hard. We started drinking around 2 pm. We went to a concert, although I can't recall who. Then proceeded to ride the single smelliest cab to Delilah's Den. On the way there, the cab starts and stops suddenly. Yours truly then vomits over the entire cab. I was wearing a white t-shirt that night and vomited over the front of the shirt.

As I exit the cab, the tool box bouncer looks at me like "you ain't getting anywhere near here in that shirt." I say to my buddy "I need to get a new shirt." Fortunately, he was wearing a t-shirt under his polo shirt. So we run behind Deliliah's. Two guys topless in an alley behind a strip club. I put on his polo shirt. My buddy wears the t-shirt. As we head back in, the bouncer looks at me and says "Thank you for changing your shirt."

A line I will never forget.

When I was about 26 or so I was working for one of the wine distributors when Rick's Cabaret opened in the 25¢. My company sent me in because Rick's was planning to be fine dining and wanted a sales rep that was wine savvy (none were available so they sent me).

So, I'm sitting there before they opened for business with the GM, the chef and the beverage buyer going over my presentation. The chef is brining out food to pair wines with and meanwhile there are all these "entertainers" from the Rick's in Houston giving "dance training" lessons to the local crop of talent on the stage right behind where we were sitting. Needless to say I made that the longest sales pitch of my career. Funny part was that I think the food was actually pretty good, like I was focusing on the food.

In the words of Yakoff Smirnoff...."What a country"

Btw, I think that guy is still the chef at The Bombay Club.
