This has NOTHING to do with his resignation, but was Broussard the cry-baby during Katrina? (made me a bit uncomfortable.... thought he/whomever looked like a real pussy)

AB and cronnies been screwing JP residents for years, and everyone thought he was just wonderful. IMO he will spend quite a few years at EWE vacation home

I was really surprised to hear how many sympathetic voters he had after the Katrina debacle. I grew up in a house that didn't flood in the worst of the heavy rain floods back in the 70's and 80's, when the pumping system was less than adequate. And then Broussard and his Director of Emergency Management, Walter Maestri devise their now infamous "doomsday plan" and the rest is history. Billions of dollars of destruction can be squarely placed on the shoulders of these two for that 1 decision. A lifetime politician and an educator. Sheesh. When will the electorate learn.

Guess we don't need this site any longer. If you want to watch his pathetic speech on Meet the Press it is the second link.

Yes he was the cry-baby, but come to find out, the story he was re-telling and crying about was complete B.S.---he made it ALL up! I for one am glad to see him go. I think most of the leaders of Jeff Parish will be next. I hear Coulon is dirtier than him.
Jeff Parish has always been more corrupt than even Orleans IMO, but no one seemed to care b/c the crime was low and they were living the good life. Get ready, b/c it's all about to crumble! Thank you Mr. Letten!!!

We definitely seem to have our own version of The Sopranos. I've always suspected something was going on with the garbage contracts.
Now if the Feds can catch AB, why can't they get Ray?

One of the great pay backs for Judges is to appoint their friends as curators to accept service of process for defendants who cannot be found. I have needed to do this twice in my career once in Orleans and a second time in Jefferson. This is relatively easy money for very little work.

In Orleans, the judge appointed Clerk of Court Dale Atkins as a curator in my case. I am sorry but I think Dale Atkins as enough to do, does she really need to be working as a curator in the courthouse that she manages? To her credit, Atkins complied with the statute and sent me a reasonable bill for her services.

The second time I needed a curator was in Jefferson. My good buddy Judge Chuck Cusimano appointed Aaron Broussard who was on the Parish Council at the time. I thought to myself "This is beyond ridiculous." He then took forever to actually do the work, sent me an outrageous bill, accompanied by a pompous letter and demanded the bill be paid upon receipt. Next thing you know this jackass is running for Parish President and then crying on Meet the Depressed. As far as I am concerned, he gets what he deserves.

Bam, The problem is that they never actually get what they deserve. In five 5yrs whitmer will get his outrageous pension for the rest of his life. Broussard will still have his lodge in Nova Scotia and eventually find his way on to the pension gravy train. Bill Jefferson is not in jail ,despite all the cartoons and long sentences. Let's face it in our system of government as it has become, crime actully does pay.

If I'm not mistaken, I thought I read a story last week related to the prior president checking off the position was "part time", and Aaron checking "full time", that he was handling ALL of the unfound defendants cases through his law firm.

I could be wrong, as there has been quite alot flying around, but he was making a nice little chunk on these cases...
